Craft’s AI Assistant helps you write, edit, and structure content using AI technology built on large language models (LLMs). We are committed to giving you a helpful experience while respecting your privacy and control.
What data is used to generate a response?
The AI Assistant only processes your content when you explicitly ask it to. Depending on your request, it may process:
- Just the selected block(s)
- The entire document (for broader questions like “summarize this page”)
The data is not shared with anyone outside Craft. We use OpenAI’s technology to generate the responses, but your data is not stored, reused, or used for training AI models.

How to Enable or Disable the AI Assistant
You can control the AI Assistant setting per space:
- Go to Home View
- Select your Space name
- Tap Settings > Assistant
- Toggle the Enable Assistant option
This setting is local (per device)
Please note:
- This setting is not synced across devices or across users in a shared space.
- If you disable it on your Mac, it will still be enabled on your iPhone (until disabled there too).
- If you delete and reinstall the app, especially after a full reset, this setting will revert to default and the Assistant will be enabled again.
