If you’ve encountered a bug in Craft, we’d love your help tracking it down. Clear reports allow our team to investigate and resolve issues faster, and we truly appreciate every report we receive.
Here’s how to send in a helpful bug report.
Before You Report
To ensure the issue isn’t already resolved:
- Make sure you’re using the latest version of Craft
- Restart the app or refresh the web version
- If the issue persists, continue with the steps below
What to Include in Your Bug Report
To help us understand and troubleshoot the issue effectively, please include the following:
1. Confirm your version
Let us know if you're using the latest version of Craft. We release frequent updates, and many issues are resolved in newer builds.
2. Share your environment
Tell us about your setup:
- Device model (e.g., MacBook Pro, iPhone 14, Windows laptop)
- Operating system and version (e.g., macOS Sonoma 14.2, iOS 17.3, Windows 11)
- Whether the issue happened in the Craft desktop app, mobile app, or web version
3. Describe the steps leading to the issue
Outline the exact actions that led to the problem. For example:
- Opened a document
- Added a new page
- Inserted an image
- ... issue happened
This step-by-step breakdown helps us reproduce the issue in a similar environment.
4. Include a screen recording
A screen recording is often the most useful part of a bug report. It allows us to see the issue as it happens and better understand the context.
Tips for a good recording:
- Keep it short and focused on the issue
- Space out your actions for clarity
- Record the entire screen (not just a cropped section)
- Use the highest resolution available
If you can’t record, screenshots are also welcome—especially if they show visual bugs or error messages.
How to Record Your Screen
iPhone
- Enable Screen Recording in Settings > Control Center
- Open Control Center and tap the Record button
- Stop recording by tapping the red status bar or Control Center

You may also use third-party tools like Loom, OBS Studio, or CleanShot as long as the recording clearly shows the issue.
What Happens After You Report a Bug
- One-off issues: If we can’t immediately reproduce the bug and it hasn’t been widely reported, we’ll log it and monitor for related cases.
- Reproducible bugs: If the issue can be consistently reproduced or is reported by multiple users, we’ll escalate it internally for investigation and resolution.
Thank you for taking the time to report bugs. Your input helps us make Craft better for everyone.
