What’s Missing in Craft? A Look at Potential Enhancements

Craft is constantly evolving, with new features and improvements being introduced regularly. However, some frequently requested features are not yet available. Below is a list of features that users often ask about, along with their current status.

Tags

Craft does not currently support a tagging system for organizing content. However, alternatives such as Collections, Backlinks, and Folders can help structure your documents effectively. A tagging feature is something we are considering for future updates, but there is no set timeline for its release.

API Access

At this time, Craft does not have a public API. We recognize that an API could allow users to automate workflows and integrate Craft with other apps. While this is not currently available, we may explore it in the future.

Kanban Boards

Currently, Craft does not have a Kanban view for task or project management. While you can track tasks using tables, lists, and collections, there is no built-in drag-and-drop board for workflow visualization. Users looking for a Kanban system may need to integrate Craft with external tools.

Mind Maps

Craft does not currently offer a mind map feature for visual brainstorming. While users can create hierarchical structures using nested pages, collections, and links, there is no dedicated mind-mapping tool built into the app.

Web Clipper

Craft does not offer a web clipper to save content directly from the web into your documents. Users looking to collect information from websites can manually copy and paste content or use third-party tools to save content and later import it into Craft.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Craft does not currently support multi-factor authentication (MFA). Instead, the app relies on email-based authentication codes for login security. While MFA is not available, Craft follows strict security standards, including SOC 2 compliance and encryption protocols.

Folder Sharing

While you can share individual documents, Craft does not currently support sharing entire folders. If you need to collaborate with others, you will need to share each document separately. Folder sharing is a commonly requested feature, and we are aware of its importance for team collaboration.

Advanced Table Functions (Formulas & Calculations)

Tables in Craft currently do not support formulas, calculations, or advanced spreadsheet-like functions. While tables can be used for organizing data, users needing advanced calculations may need to rely on external spreadsheet software.

Android & Linux Support

Currently, Craft is only available on Mac, iOS, iPadOS, Windows, and the Web. There is no Android or Linux version at this time. While we recognize the demand for these platforms, there are no announced plans to expand to Android or Linux yet.

RTL (Right-to-Left) Language Support

Craft does not yet fully support right-to-left (RTL) languages, such as Arabic and Hebrew. Users who work with RTL scripts may experience formatting challenges.

What’s Next?

Craft is actively developing and improving the platform. While these features are not currently available, we are always listening to user feedback and continuously evaluating how we can expand Craft’s capabilities.
