Yes, Craft is supporting Family Sharing for in-app subscriptions!
You can read more about Apple Family Sharing here: https://www.apple.com/family-sharing/
Note: Family sharing is not available for Business plan or licenses.
Family Sharing for subscriptions requires at least macOS Big Sur 11.0.1 or iOS 14.2, older OS version do not support this feature. For new subscriptions, Family Sharing should be activated automatically. However, if you’ve already been a subscriber, you’re likely to have to turn it on manually. Here is how it works:
Enable ‘Share with family’ for Craft in device Settings (iPhone / iPad)
If you already have a Pro subscription, please check if the Share with family option is enabled for your Subscription:
- Open the Settings on your device
- Tap on your Apple ID (first item)
- Select Subscriptions
- Select Craft
- Make sure Share with family enabled
Manually activate the subscription for your Family Members
If the Pro Plan doesn’t activate automatically for your Family Member(s) on their device, check the following:
- Open Craft
- Tap on their Avatar on top left
- Select Preferences
- Select Subscription
- Select Change Plan
- Select Restore Purchase
Troubleshooting
If you have a problem with setting up Family Sharing for Craft, please check the common issues below.
Family Sharing was just set up for others
If you or a member of your Family just enabled “Share with Family”, you might experience that the Pro Tier is not visible right away. You may wait and try again in a few hours to be sure changes have been able to update on Apple's servers.
You and your Family Members are in different countries
We also heard from our users that Family Sharing is not working when the App Store's region settings are set to different countries. If you experience a problem, please check if this is the case for you.
