# Space Block Limit

> Understand the 300,000 block per-space technical limit, why it exists, and what to do when a space reaches it.

Each space in Craft has a **technical limit of 300,000 content blocks** on the Mac, iOS, and iPad apps. This limit is not tied to your subscription, and no plan upgrade changes it. It exists to keep spaces fast to load and reliable to sync across your devices.

The limit applies **per space, not per account**. Your other spaces are unaffected, and you can keep growing your content by using more than one space.

## What to Do When a Space Is Full

### Move documents to another space

Moving documents is the quickest way to bring a space back under the limit, and it keeps everything inside Craft.

A good pattern is to keep an "archive" space for finished projects and documents you rarely open. See [Working with Spaces](/en/introduction/account-setup/spaces) for full instructions on every platform.

### Create a new space

If you don't have a second space yet, open the **space dropdown** in the top left of the sidebar and select **Create New Space**. Your plan sets how many spaces you can have; see [Plans and Pricing](/en/account-and-subscription/subscription-plans/plans-and-pricing) for the limit on each plan.

### Delete content you no longer need

Deleting old or unused documents frees up room in the space. Deleted documents move to the **Recently Deleted** folder, where they stay recoverable for 30 days before being permanently removed.

### Continue on the web app

The block limit applies to the Mac, iOS, and iPad apps. The [Craft web app](https://docs.craft.do/) does not have this limit, so you can keep reading and editing your content in the browser while you reorganize your spaces.

Keep in mind that this is a workaround rather than a fix: the space will still be over the limit in the Mac, iOS, and iPad apps until you move or delete content there.

## Checking How Many Blocks a Space Contains

On Mac, iPad, and iOS, open **Settings → Space Settings → Stats** to see the block count and other statistics for the current space. See [Check Storage Usage](/en/account-and-subscription/storage-and-recovery/storage-usage) for details.
